PARK Medical academy

This newly constructed Medical Focus Choice school was completed in 2019 and currently serves grades PK-8 in partnership with Baton Rouge General. This model provides students with the opportunity to experience various aspects of the medical field, including but not limited to forensics, medical technology, pharmaceutical, nursing, and clinical studies. Park is known for its dedicated administration and engagement with community partners.

CAPITOL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Built in 2008, Capitol Elementary is a newer building nestled in the Eden Park neighborhood. Serving students PK-5, it is known for its outstanding heritage and the reputation of its dedicated teachers. STEAM, garden club, golf, chess club, 21st CCLC, music, and Lil Veterinarians are just a few of the opportunities offered to students. Capitol Elementary is special because it takes an innovative approach that truly nurtures the creativity and education of its students.

CAPITOL MIDDLE MAGNET SCHOOL

Capitol Middle Magnet's Digital Media program is designed to offer interactive and collaborative courses in marketing and animation by using science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills to promote critical thinking and to enhance problem solving literacy in a project-oriented setting. Serving students grades 6-8, the goals of the program are to help the students develop flexible knowledge, effective problem-solving skills, self-directed learning, effective collaboration skills and intrinsic motivation.

CAPITOL SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Go Lions! This historic high school served as the second minority public secondary school in East Baton Rouge Parish and recently re-joined the district. It currently operates in a hybrid model in partnership with Baton Rouge General, with a traditional neighborhood school operating alongside the new Medical Focus Choice program. Serving grades 9-12, the school is comprised of existing students, priority zone students and rising 9th graders in the Medical Focus Choice program.
